Student workers are not just part of the Student Success Center, they are the Student Success Center. Our staff includes more than 120 graduate and undergraduate students, and they are collectively responsible for providing nearly all of our direct services to students. Student workers serve as Academic Coaches, Language Tutors, PASS leaders, STEM Tutors, Writing Tutors, and Office Assistants.

Both graduate and undergraduate students work in the Student Success Center, and they represent a wide range of academic programs and disciplines. They are also a highly diverse group, in terms of age, race, ethnicity, linguistic background, physical ability and gender.

The students who work at the SSC came to us through a competitive hiring process, and they were chosen because of their high levels of academic achievement as well as their strong orientation toward helping others.
