Math Foundations

Program Description

Math Foundations provides a review of mathematical concepts essential to students enrolled in introductory quantitative courses. Using a station-teaching model, students will engage in hands-on activities led by SSC tutors.  One-hour sessions will be offered throughout the semester.  Registration is not required. 

Sessions will focus on four concepts with an opportunity for students to rotate through to each station.  

Topics include: Order of Operations, Basic Powers, Converting Fractions, Percents, and Decimals, X and Y Graphing, Long Division, Multi-Digit Multiplication, Rounding, Distribution, Combining Like Terms, Fractions, and more!
