The Student Success Center offers writing and research groups that provide students with ongoing support and feedback. Each group comprises 4-8 graduate students from diverse academic disciplines who meet regularly to share their works in progress. Group members provide each other with feedback and peer support for setting goals, solving problems, and working efficiently and effectively as writer-researchers.

Staff from the SSC provide overall organizational support for the groups, helping them to organize their agendas, identify needs, and access resources.

Writing and research groups are open to Temple University graduate students working on their prospectus/proposal or dissertation/thesis. Students from all colleges and departments are welcome to participate.

How to join a writing and research group:

For the summer, there will be two groups, one on Sundays from 2-5 pm and the other on Wednesdays from 10am-1pm from May 17 to June 24 (excluding May 24). Groups are limited to eight participants. To participate, please email your preferred day to sscgrad@temple.edu. If you miss the deadline, please email anyway. We may be able to create a group that starts later in the semester.
