The SSC welcomes applications from individuals who would like to volunteer for the following roles:

Language Lounge Event Assistants

  • Volunteers attend Language Lounge events and participate in activities.
  • These positions are open to current Temple students, alumni and staff.

TESOL Program Assistant

  • Each volunteer is paired with an international student who is an English language learner. Volunteers plan and deliver one-on-one instruction tailored to their student’s needs. Some TESOL Program Assistants also prepare and present workshops for language learners.
  • These positions are open to Temple University graduate students who are either enrolled in TESOL courses that require fieldwork, or who are conducting TESOL or linguistics-related research.
