All of the SSC’s core academic support services – Academic Coaching, Writing Tutoring, STEM Tutoring, and Conversation Partners – are open to Temple University graduate students. See the relevant pages on this website for descriptions of these services and for information about how to access them.

Although graduate students can approach these services in any way they prefer, we recommend that they come by appointment, whenever possible. Making appointments allows users to select the staff members (i.e. tutors, conversation partners) they will meet with, and for best service, graduate student users should select graduate-level staff members.

Note that in the case of writing tutoring, we offer a specialized service - read-ahead tutoring - that was designed with the needs of graduate students in mind. Read-ahead tutoring is especially effective for writers who are working on longer documents - seminar papers, dissertation chapters - that are typical of graduate school writing.
