Allison’s academic career began at Saint Joseph’s University where she holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Health Services and Autism Behavioral Studies, as well as a minor in Psychology. She was first introduced to academic support services through an undergraduate position as a peer-mentor and direct-support professional. These opportunities along with her passion for learning inspired her to continue her education at Saint Joseph’s where she received her Master’s in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavioral Analysis. In that time, she had the opportunity to support a diverse population of learners and advocate for the importance of universal instructional design.

Her experiences have allowed her to develop a passion for helping students overcome academic challenges and thrive in their academic pursuits. She hopes to empower students to achieve their goals by providing individualized support and guidance, and creating learning experiences that are both accessible and engaging. In her role as the Learning Specialist at Temple’s Student Success Center, she remains dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all.

Allison is a Philadelphia native who is a fan of all their sports teams but equally loves the mascots, too. She can also give you the best cheesesteak recommendation in the city. In her spare time, you will most likely find her on a golf course and spending time with her family.
