Chloe is a first-generation Korean American from Seoul, Korea. Experiencing different pedagogical settings as a language learner and instructor has been essential in her development as a language educator. Chloe’s first teaching experience in higher education as an undergraduate peer shaped her positionality as a teacher-mentor and facilitator of learning. She started her career in academic support services at the Student Success Center as a Conversation Partner and Program Assistant, working closely with English, Spanish, and Korean learners.
Chloe earned a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Spanish from Temple University and taught General Education and Spanish courses in higher education as an instructor of record. When she is not focused on work, Chloe enjoys taking long walks, listening to audiobooks, and following the latest on giant pandas.
